Town Improvement and Beautification
*During the past year, the Streetscapes Lighting Committee has continued to work tirelessly on the final phase
of the “Brightening up Ludlow” project.
*By this summer the work in front of the mill will reflect what the north side of Main Street could look like in the future.
*This latest project is one of Streetscapes’ most dramatic and visible,featuring four free-standing lamp posts
with underground wiring and outlets for seasonal decorative mini-lights.
*The posts, like those on the bridges, will have arms to display summer and winter hanging baskets.
*The old asphalt sidewalks have been replaced with new cobblestone pavers, and permeable pavers were installed around our
existing trees.
*As we proceed, we apologize in advance for the inevitable inconveniences our activities will cause
residents and businesses adjacent to The Mill.
*We will do our best to minimize parking and traffic flow interruptions.
**Without the cooperation and support of the municipal government, local businesses,
Ludlow residents,
second homeowners and friends, this project would not be possible.**
